Sancergues is a French municipality with 649 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the canton of Avord (until 2015: canton of Sancergues ) and to the communal association Communauté de communes Berry Loire Vauvise .
geography
Sancergues is located in the Berry, about 40 kilometers east-northeast of Bourges . Sancergues is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Feux in the north, Herry in the north-east, Saint-Martin-des-Champs in the east, Jussy-le-Chaudrier in the south and south-east, Charentonnay in the west and south-west and Lugny-Champagne in the north-west.
The community is located on Via Lemovicensis , one of the four historic " Way of the Pilgrims in France ".
