Vasselay is about eight kilometers north of Bourges in the Sologne . Vasselay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Martin-d'Auxigny in the north, Saint-Georges-sur-Moulon in the northeast, Fussy in the east, Bourges in the south, Saint-Doulchard in the southwest and Saint-Éloy-de-Gy in the west.
