About nine kilometers northeast of Bourges is Saint-Michel-de-Volangis in the Champagne Berrichonne (in the Berry ) on the banks of the Langis river . Saint-Michel-de-Volangis is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vignoux-sous-les-Aix in the north, Soulangis in the northeast, Sainte-Solange in the east, Saint-Germain-du-Puy in the south, Bourges in the southwest, and Fussy in the west Southwest and Pigny to the west and northwest.
