Rians is a French municipality with 973 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . Rians belongs to the Arrondissement of Bourges and the canton of Saint-Germain-du-Puy (until 2015: canton of Les Aix-d'Angillon ).

Rians is located about 20 kilometers northeast of Bourges in the Champagne Berrichonne . Rians is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Aubinges in the north and northwest, Saint-Céols in the north and northeast, Montigny in the northeast, Azy in the east, Étréchy in the southeast, Brécy in the south, Sainte-Solange in the southwest and Les Aix-d'Angillon in the west .
