Herry is located in the Berry countryside about 45 kilometers east-northeast of Bourges on the Loire , which borders the municipality in the east. Herry is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Couargues in the north, Pouilly-sur-Loire in the north and north-east, Mesves-sur-Loire in the east, La Chapelle-Montlinard in the south and south-east, Saint-Martin-des-Champs in the south, Sancergues in the south-west , Feux in the west and Saint-Bouize in the northwest.
