It belongs to the canton of Avord (until 2015: canton of Sancergues ) and to the communal association Communauté de communes La Septaine . The inhabitants are called Étréchyssois .

geography

Étréchy is located in the Berry about 26 kilometers east-northeast of Bourges . Étréchy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Azy in the north, Groises in the northeast, Lugny-Champagne in the east, Chaumoux-Marcilly in the east and southeast, Gron in the south, Villabon in the southwest, Brécy in the west and southwest and Rians in the northwest.
