Auerbach has been part of the Elztal community in the Neckar-Odenwald district in Baden-Württemberg since 1973 . The place first mentioned as Urbach in a Lorsch document in 791 was probably founded in the course of the Franconian conquest of the land.
Location and transport links
Auerbach is located in the middle of the Elztal municipality. The B 292 runs on the southern edge of the village, the B 27 runs to the west and north of the village . The Elz , a right tributary to the Neckar, flows to the west . The Auerbach, a tributary to the Elz, flows through the village. Southwest, the 103 extends ha large nature reserve Dallauer Valley .
