The Auerbach is - counted from the Dorstelbrunnen - about 17 km long and right tributary of the Schwarzbach . With its tributaries it drains the west of the Sickinger Höhe . In the middle section it is called Wiesbach .
course
The Auerbach arises from several source brooks, which arise southwest of Martinshöhe , and then flows south over the Pletschmühle in a wooded valley. On the route to Winterbach there are many ponds in the Bachtal that give it an idyllic sight. The stream passes the Etzenbachermühle and the Stampermühle .
Before Winterbach, where the brook of the same name runs from the left and the brook Wiesbach is called, the Auerbach turns to the west and flows past the Niederhausen district through a meadow valley that is heavily overgrown with bushes and broken forest . After shortly before taking in the Heilbach from the right , the Auerbach flows into the Schwarzbach from the right at Niederauerbach .

Numerous hiking and riding trails run through the Obertal between Martinshöhe and Winterbach and its side valleys.
