Auf Wieder-See Österreich was a television program produced by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation , in which highlights from legendary ORF cult programs , as well as other video material from the ORF archive, are presented in a funny and informative way.

Show style and layout

At the beginning of each episode, the moderator explains which program from the archive it is. The content and key data of the program are then discussed. After each program excerpt, the moderator continues to inform the viewer about the program and initiates the next program scene. In most cases, the sequence of the program presented is changed in order to display the archive program presented over the entire period of production during the course of the program.

The archive material shown is in the picture format 4: 3 , which usually leaves space left and right in the picture due to the picture format of 16: 9 used today. This space is used during the broadcast to display information about the scene just shown. Both the title of the episode of the program shown and the production date are displayed to give the viewer an indication of the age of the program.

At certain intervals, the presenter of the program is shown in this free space, who briefly comments on specific scenes or to prepare the viewer for upcoming highlights.
