The mountain on the squares is 509.4 m above sea level. NHN high elevation of the Rothaargebirge . It is located in the natural Siegerland near Grissenbach in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

location
The mountain rises in the southwest foothills of the Rothaar Mountains and in the south of the Sauerland-Rothaar Mountains Nature Park . Its summit belonging to the Grissenbach district is located about 1.3 kilometers (km) north-northeast of the village of the same name, 1 km northwest of Nenkersdorf and 1.5 km (as the crow flies) southeast of the former village of Nauholz .
Parts of the landscape protection area Netphen ( CDDA no. 390136; designated 1985; 118.9074 km² ) are located on the mountain .
Natural allocation
On the squares belongs in the natural spatial main unit group Süderbergland (No. 33) and in the main unit Siegerland (331) to the sub-unit Siegerland Rothaar-Vorhöhen ( Siegquellbergland ; 331.2).
Flowing waters
The Grissenbach flows west and northwest past the mountain, which flows into the Sieg in the village of the same name and has its source (Scherenschleifersborn) in the transition area from Auf den Plätze to another nameless knoll. The Hirschbach, one of the largest tributaries of the Grissenbach, rises on the northwest slope of the mountain, the Sieg tributary Hembach on the southwest slope and another small, nameless tributary of the Sieg on its southeast slope, which flows into Nenkersdorf near the Backhaus (Backes) there.
Traffic and walking
State road 719 runs south past the mountain from Walpersdorf through Nenkersdorf and Grissenbach to Deuz along the Sieg . Some forest and hiking trails (partly paved) and forest paths lead over there. The sports field of Nenkersdorf is located on one of these paths to the north-northeast in the direction of the Scherenschleifersborn at an altitude of 477.4 m .
