In Search of Treasure Island is an Australian television series in which several characters go in search of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island .

Robert Louis Stevenson, the author of "Treasure Island", is dying. He tells his friend Baumann that the island and the treasure actually exist and bequeaths him a treasure map. 100 years later, Paul Raymond, who came into possession of the map, went on a search for Treasure Island. On board is the great-great-grandson of Stevenson's friend, Karl Baumann, who knows the history of Treasure Island. The ship gets into a storm in which Karl goes overboard and is the only survivor to return. When Paul's wife Sally learns that her husband may still be alive, she sets off with the children Jacqui and Mark and with Karl Baumann and Captain Escovar to find Paul. On the way they take Thea on board, who is floating helplessly on a raft. As they approach the island, they get caught in a huge maelstrom .
