August Elshuber
August Elshuber (born July 1, 1890 in Heinrichsbrunn , Mauthausen municipality , Upper Austria ; † November 2, 1956 in Salzburg ) was an Austrian politician of the home block (HB).
education and profession
After attending the elementary and community school in Mauthausen, he went to a grammar school in Wels and became a postal worker. He later became post chief inspector in Bischofshofen . He was suspended from service between 1931 and 1932, decommissioned in 1938 and served as a sales representative. It was not until 1945 that he was returned to the postal service.

- 1929: Home Guard Gau leader of the Pongau
- 1933: Head of the regional staff and political advisor for the Heimwehr
- 1934: Chairman of the labor health insurance fund for the State of Salzburg
- Vice President of the Salzburg Chamber of Officials
Political mandates
- August 1, 1932 to May 2, 1934: Member of the National Council ( IV legislative period ) for the home bloc. He succeeded Franz Hueber , who had resigned in order not to have to vote for the adoption of the Lausanne Protocol .
