August Riekehof-Böhmer (1914)

August Bernhard Riekehof-Böhmer (born October 24, 1849 in Hörstmar ; † February 21, 1931 at Brake Castle ) was a landowner and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Riekehof-Böhmer attended grammar school in Lemgo and the agricultural school in Hildesheim . He became a practical farmer on his estate in Vogelhorst . From 1882 he was a member of the Lippe State Parliament and from 1892 Vice President of the same. He was also a member of the German Agriculture Council . He took part in the war against France in 1870/71 and was a lieutenant in the reserve .

From 1893 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Principality of Lippe ( Detmold , Lemgo ). Since he was nominated as a joint candidate of the Conservatives and the National Liberals on the proposal of the Federation of Farmers , Riekehof-Böhmer, who belongs to the Conservative Party, only joined the Reichstag as a guest.
