August Theodor Wuppermann

August Theodor Wuppermann (* 1. July 1898 in Leverkusen - Schlebusch ; † 28. January 1966 ) was a German steel - entrepreneurs .

Life

Theodor Wuppermann, grandson of the steel entrepreneur Heinrich Theodor Wuppermann (1809-1889), studied Political Science with promotion to Dr. rer. pole. In 1922 he married Marie Luise (Marlies) Menne (1901–1958) from Siegen .

In 1924 Wuppermann became managing director of the family company Theodor Wuppermann GmbH. Rolling mill and façon forge , Leverkusen . The company has now become the largest independent rolling mill and cold section mill in the Federal Republic of Germany . Numerous patents reflect the progress made in rolling technology.

As a recognized entrepreneur Wuppermann board member was the Confederation of Iron and Steel Industry , the Management Board and Advisory Board member of the band Steel Association , board member of the German Association of Iron (VDEh) , Vice-President of the Fédération de Relamineurs in Luxembourg and co-founder and longtime board member of the Association of Independent Entrepreneurs .

Wuppermann died in an aircraft accident.
