August von Rumohr

Friedrich Wolfgang August von Rumohr (born July 6, 1851 in Kiel ; † August 27, 1914 at Gut Rundhof ) was a German officer, manor owner, court official and parliamentarian.

Life

August von Rumohr studied at the Georg-August-University of Goettingen law . In 1872 he became a member of the Corps Saxonia Göttingen . From 1874 to 1879 he was an officer in the 16th Hussar Regiment. Later, he was captain of the Landwehr - Cavalry . After leaving the 16th Hussar Regiment, he lived on his 811 hectare Rundhof estate in Schleswig .

Von Rumohr was chamberlain and director of the Schleswig-Holstein landscape since 1896 . From 1911 until his death in 1914 he was a member of the Prussian manor house . He was married to Jenny Freiin von Brockdorff from the Kletkamp family.
