Sophie Angermann
Sophie Angermann (born September 2, 1892 in Munich , † January 1, 1973 in Honolulu ) was a German literary translator .
Life
Sophie Angermann was one of the most prolific translators of fiction from Norwegian , Swedish and Danish into German in the 1920s and 1930s ; most of these translations were made in collaboration with Julius Sandmeier . After the Second World War , translations from English were added. Sophie Angermann last lived in Honolulu ( Hawaii ).
