Augustin Gensse (born August 10, 1983 in Mont-de-Marsan ) is a former French tennis player .

Career

Augustin Gensse mainly played on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . He won ten singles and three doubles on the Future Tour. On the Challenger Tour he won the double tournament in Tangier in 2009. In 2011 he qualified for the first time for the Grand Slam tournaments in Roland Garros and at the US Open .

On May 7th, 2012 he reached his highest position in the world rankings in singles with 139th place, in doubles he climbed to 363rd place on June 16, 2008. In June 2012 he injured his ankle so badly that he had to end his career.

In January 2013 he became the coach of Michaela Hončová , and since May 2015 he has coached Manon Arcangioli .
