Axel von Rappard
Axel von Rappard (born March 28, 1871 in Langensalza , † January 9, 1961 in Berlin ) was a German administrative officer.
Life
Axel von Rappard was the son of a Hessian chamberlain . He studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1891 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After graduation and the doctorate to Dr. jur. he embarked on an administrative career. In 1904 he married. From 1907 to 1925 he was district administrator in the district of Soltau . After that he was government councilor at the high presidium in Charlottenburg until 1933 and the same at the Prussian building and finance department until 1936. In 1936 he retired.
During the Second World War , the district administrator of the Monschau district , Kurt Dingerdissen, was drafted into military service. From 1941 to 1942 he was initially represented by Heinz Ehmke . Then Axel von Rappard was reactivated and from June 26, 1942 to November 1, 1943 also took over the management of the district office, before it was jointly administered by the Schleiden district administrator, Josef Schramm .
