Pool race
The bathing races held on the Baltic Sea were among the most important motorcycle races in Germany in the 1920s .
Between 1923 and 1929 the races were also held under the name Deutsche TT .
The first edition was held on July 30, 1923 on a 19.6 kilometer long slope around Swinoujscie on the Stettiner Haff . After two further races in Świnoujście in 1924 and 1925, the spa races between 1926 and 1929 took place further east in Pomerania , namely in Kolberg , as Kolberg spa races . The length of the route used there was just over 25 kilometers.
In 1930 the Great Bathing Prize of Germany was held by the DMV as part of the AVUS race in Berlin . The ninth and last edition took place on August 2, 1931 in Miedzyzdroje , a few kilometers east of Swinoujscie, on the 19.667 kilometer long Ostseering . Another event planned for August 6, 1933 in Międzyzdroje was canceled.
After the Second World War , the tradition of bathing races was continued in Stralsund and Usedom , among others .
