Bährbruch

The Bährbruch is a nature reserve in the German city of Porta Westfalica . It is around 8.5 acres and is listed under the designation MI-046.

The area is located north of the Eisbergen district and south of Autobahn 2 on the southern slope of the Weser Mountains .

The protection should serve to preserve the diversely structured biotope complex . The biotope, with its near-natural flowing waters and a dry excavation left to its own devices and ponds, has created a refuge for rare animal and plant species. It is particularly worth protecting because of its wet and wet meadows , large sedge and reed beds .
