Altteich Costedt

The Altteich Costedt nature reserve is located in the town of Porta Westfalica . It is around 25.8 hectares and is listed under the designation MI-016.

It is located southeast of the Eisbergen district and directly on the Weser .

The protection should enable a near-natural excavation site to be turned into a biotope complex as a refuge for rare animal and plant species. Special attention should be paid to its importance as a breeding , feeding and resting place for water birds .
