Modde (nature reserve)

The Modde nature reserve is located in the town of Porta Westfalica . It is around 49 acres and is listed as MI-047.

It is located southeast of the Eisbergen district and directly on the Weser .

The protection should enable a large excavation area to be converted into a biotope complex as a refuge for rare animal and plant species. Special attention is to be paid to the importance as a breeding , feeding and resting place for water birds .
