Fiekers Bush

Fiekers Busch is a nature reserve in the city of Porta Westfalica . It is around 3.3 hectares and is listed under the designation MI-015.

The area is north-east of the Eisbergen district and south of Autobahn 2 on the southern slope of the Weser Mountains .

The protection should serve to preserve the diversely structured wet biotope . The biotope is a refuge for rare animal and plant species with its near-natural alder forest , the tall reeds and the large sedge .
