Böhler Bruch-Kandelwiese is the name of a nearly 35 hectare nature reserve southeast of Böhl-Iggelheim in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis in Rhineland-Palatinate .

Protection purpose

The wet hay meadows and the associated coat of natural oak and hornbeam forest should be preserved and promoted for ecological and scientific reasons. The habitat is home to rare species and plant communities.

Location and geography

The area, consisting of Stromtalwiesen and forest mantle, is located around 3 km southeast of the settlement area of ​​Iggelheim on the Speyerbach alluvial fan. It is divided into two non-contiguous areas, the 10.6 hectare Kandelwiese in the northeast and the 23.9 hectare Böhler Bruch in the southwest.
