Woogwiesen

The nature reserve Woogwiesen is in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The approximately 13 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1985 , extends along the Hainbach between the local community Dudenhofen in the northeast and the local community Harthausen in the southwest. Not far to the north is the Speyerbach , not far to the south is the L 537 state road .
The purpose of protection is the preservation of the area as a habitat and part of the habitat of rare animal species that are threatened in their existence, whereby the ornithological aspect (stepping stone function on the bird migration route Jena - Provence ) is of particular importance, as well as its preservation as a location for rare plant species and plant communities .
