The Büchelberg is 465.1  m above sea level. NHN high, wooded mountain west of the Spalter hill country in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen . The mountain is one of the highest elevations in the south of the Haundorfer Forest .

The wooded Büchelberg rises in the northwest of the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district. To the south is the village of the same name, Büchelberg , to the west of Wehlenberg , to the northeast of the Haundorfer Weiher and the Schleissbühlweiher . The Haundorfer Weihergraben and Wettelbach flow to the north, and not far to the west the Nesselbach flows past. The Altweihergraben rises on the eastern slope , a tributary of the Eichenberger Weiher , which in turn is traversed by the Laubenzedeler Mühlbach . The border between the communities Muhr am See , Gunzenhausen and Haundorf runs along the mountain, with the summit on the Haundorf side. The district road WUG 22 passes in the east.
