The Eichenberger Weiher , also called Steinberger Weiher , is a pond a little over one and a half kilometers south-southwest of the eponymous place Eichenberg , which is part of the municipality of Haundorf in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen . Since the body of water in the Franconian Lake District is close to the Altmühlsee , it is also used more and more as a bathing lake, although bathing is prohibited there.
The approximately 16 hectare pond is flowed through by the Laubenzedeler Mühlbach and fed by two other streams, the Altweihergraben and the Brandergraben . The Eichenberger pond is the largest area lake Weiherkette the Mühlbach to the smaller beside some still waters of bacon pond and the Brander pond brook up in the north and as Schnackensee called whistles ponds are in the south. In the pond live carp , tench , grass fish , pike , perch and catfish . The municipality boundary to Gunzenhausen runs close to the southern and western banks .
Outside the chain of ponds, the small Kästleinsweiher is very close to the southwest , and a little further to the northwest, Haundorfer Weiher and Schleißbühlweiher are drained by another stream.
