The castle is a river in France that runs in the Allier department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the municipality of Bourbon-l'Archambault under the name Ruisseau de la Queue de l'Étang and flows through the lake Étang de Bourbon-l'Archambault in its upper reaches . It then takes on its final name Burge , first draining north-east through the Bocage Bourbonnais landscape , before turning in two large loops to the north-west and after a total of 29 kilometers in the municipal area of Aubigny it flows into the Allier as a left tributary . An artificial estuary runs parallel to the Allier for about two kilometers and only flows into the municipality of Saint-Léopardin-d'Augy .
Warning: Not to be confused with the similar river Rio de la Burge , which also flows into the Allier about 10 kilometers further downstream!
