Mayor's Office Schweich

The mayor's office Schweich in the district of Trier in the administrative district of Trier in the Prussian Rhine province was a mayor's office with 7 villages and 2 mills, which had 404 fireplaces and 3,039 inhabitants (status 1828).

These included:

  • Schweich , a village on the Moselle with 1 Catholic parish church, 200 Fst., 1480 inh. And 1 weekly market , with the seat of a peace court for the mayorships of Schweich, Mehring , Trittenheim , Longuich, Leiwen, Heidenburg and Schleidweiler. At the village was a ferry across the Moselle.
  • Föhren , a village with 1 cathol. Parish church, 80 feet, 668 pop., 1 castle , 1 old castle and 2 mills.
  • Longen and Lörsch , two villages on the Moselle, the one with 84, this one with 61 inhabitants and viticulture .
  • Furthermore, the villages: Naurath with 180, Bekond with 310, and Issel with 256 inhabitants.
