B. Gravelott

B. Gravelott ( anagrammatic pseudonym of Albert Vogt ; born February 21, 1922 in Cologne-Mauenheim ; † February 17, 1998 in Cologne-Ossendorf ) was a German dialect author and publisher . He wrote poetry , prose , radio plays and plays (including for the Hänneschen Theater ) in the Cologne language .

Life

Albert Vogt was the son of a railroad worker. He completed a commercial apprenticeship. During the Second World War he did military service as a soldier and was taken prisoner of war , from which he fled. From 1946 he was employed by the AOK in St. Goar , from 1948 as an insurance salesman. In 1953 he returned to Cologne. Vogt was married and had three children (two daughters and a son).

Vogt wrote in Cologne dialect and also ran his own publishing house with dialect literature. In his novels De kölsche Feschers Famillich he traced the history of the cathedral city of experiencing "little people".

Vogt provided many of his works with his own linocuts .

Vogt died in 1998 four days before his 76th birthday and was buried in Cologne's Westfriedhof .
