BCM Planet Dance
BCM Planet Dance is a large discotheque in Magaluf in the municipality of Calvià on Mallorca . With a capacity of 4,000 people, it is the largest discotheque on the island.
The nightclub was built in the late 1980s. BCM stands for the founder Bartolomé Cursach Mas . With his Grupo Cursach he operates other discos, hotels and sports facilities on the island.
The discotheque is mostly visited by British tourists. As DJs example occurred Hardwell , Steve Aoki , Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike , Skrillex , Paul van Dyk , Nervo , Calvin Harris and Avicii on. With admission prices from 30 to 45 euros, drinks are included. It is open daily from mid-June to mid-September.
The discotheque was in 2014 in the reader survey Top100 clubs of the magazine DJ Magazine in 5th place chosen.
On February 27, 2017, the owner of the BCM, Tolo Cursach, was arrested and spent 14 months in custody. On April 18, 2018, he was released on payment of a bail of one million euros.
On April 3, 2017, the BCM was closed due to illegal modifications and inadequate security measures. After the illegal modifications were removed, the BCM was allowed to reopen on June 9, 2018.
Areas
- Main arena: Main hall with sound system from Funktion-One and laser system . Costumed go-go dancers usually dance . There is an elevated VIP area.
- Millenium: basement under the Main Arena, only open on weekends. Foam parties are held regularly .
- Open-air terrace: terrace with smoking area and beach bar.
