Baía Farta is a city in Angola . It is on the Atlantic .

Baía Farta is the seat of the district of the same name ( Município ) in the province of Benguela . The district covers an area of 6744 km². The population was estimated at around 110,000 in 2011, and 125,000 in 2014. From now on, the 2014 census will provide reliable population data.
In the north it borders on the city of Benguela , in the east on the districts of Caimbambo and Chongorói and in the south on the district of Camacuio in the province of Namibe .
Four communities (Comunas) are in the district:
- Baía Farta
- Dombe Grande
- Kalohanga
- Equimina
education
In 2013, 44,671 pupils were taught by 1,439 teachers in primary and secondary schools in the district.
health
The Baía Farta County has two hospitals and six health centers. There are also 14 health posts, which are looked after by 10 doctors and 206 other staff.
economy
Baía Farta is Angola's second largest fishing port after Tombua (Namibe Province). It is also the largest salt producer in the country. The fish processing industry is an essential part of the local economy.
