Caimbambo is a small town in Angola .

Caimbambo is the seat of a district of the same name ( Município ) in the province of Benguela . The district has about 48,000 inhabitants (2011 estimate) on an area of 3285 km².
In the north, Caimbambo district borders on the district of the provincial capital Benguela , in the northeast and east on Cubal district , in the south on Chongorói and in the west on Baía Farta .

Caimbambo is located on the historic Benguela Railway , which connects the city with the provincial capital Benguela and the port city of Lobito , as well as with Huambo , the second largest city of Angola, and with Luau , where the route leads to the territory of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and into the connection of the Société National des Chemins de fer du Congo passes.
