The brook on the Margrund is a roughly one kilometer long right and eastern tributary of the Gersprenz .

The brook on the Margrund rises at an altitude of about 265 m above sea level. NHN in the Odenwald , in the district of Kirch-Beerfurth on the northwest slope of the Burg-Berg with the castle ruins of Beerfurther Schlösschen .
It flows continuously in a westerly direction in the southern village of Kirch-Beerfurth, just above the Böckelsmühle at an altitude of about 195 m above sea level. NHN from the right into the Gersprenz .
The approximately one thousand meter long course of the brook on the Margrund ends approximately 70 meters below its source, so it has an average bed gradient of approximately 70 ‰.
Area of influence
The area of influence of the brook on the Margrund lies in the Böllstein-Odenwald, a part of the Vorderen Odenwald, and is drained to the North Sea via the Gersprenz, the Main and the Rhine .
It borders
- in the north and northeast to that of the Gersprenz tributary Bach von dem Vierstöck
- and in the southeast and south to that of the Steinbach , also a tributary of the Gersprenz.
The highest point is the castle mountain with a height of 404 m above sea level. NHN .
The area of influence in the area of the upper reaches is partly forested and on the lower reaches settlements and grassland alternate.
