The brook at the Frohndelle is the almost two kilometer long right source brook of the Crumbach . It has the same GKZ as the Crumbach and is therefore seen by some as the name for its upper reaches.

The stream at the Frohndelle rises at an altitude of about 276  m above sea level. NHN in the Odenwald southwest of Fränkisch-Crumbach .

It flows in a north-easterly direction through grassland and finally flows west of Fränkisch-Crumbach at an altitude of about 198  m above sea level. NHN together with the Güttersbach to the Crumbach .

Its 1.6 km long run ends about 78 meters below its source, so it has an average bed gradient of about 49 ‰.

The area of ​​influence of the brook on the Frohndelle lies in the Neunkircher Höh-Odenwald, a part of the Vorderen Odenwald, and is drained to the North Sea via the Crumbach, Gersprenz , Main and Rhine rivers.

It borders

  • in the northeast to that of the Güttersbach
  • in the southeast to that of the Crumbach tributary Springersbach and that of the Gersprenz tributary Michelbach
  • in the south and southwest of the Eberbach , a tributary of the Mergbach , the left source brook of the Gersprenz
  • and in the west to that of the Messbach , a tributary of the Fischbach , which in turn also flows into the Gersprenz.
