The stream of Erzhausen (also: Gänswiesenbach ) is about eight kilometers long, east-southeast and left tributary of the Hegbach in Erzhausen .
etymology
The stream of Erzhausen probably got its name because of its course through Erzhausen. The name Gänswiesenbach refers to the Gänswiese .
course
The stream of Erzhausen rises in the northeast corner of the Faulbruchs near Erzhausen . He crosses the Faulbruch in a westerly direction. The stream crosses under the Main-Neckar railway line on the western edge of the quarry . Then the stream flows almost in a straight line through Erzhausen . To the west of Erzhausen, it crosses the Vorderste Tagwiese and then passes under the A5 . To the west of the A5, the Erzhausen stream crosses the Hinterste Tagwiese in a westerly direction. Then he crosses the Gänswiese in a westerly direction. On the southern edge of Mörfelden , the Erzhausen Brook flows into the Hegbach from the left and east ; and flows on over the Schwarzbach ; which later flows into the Rhine at Ginsheim-Gustavsburg via the Ginsheimer Altrhein .
The Erzhausen stream is fed by several small streams and drainage ditches.
history
Until the construction of the sewer system in Erzhausen, in the 1960s, the Erzhausen Brook also served as a sewer.
