The Hofheim (Taunus) station is the station of the Hessian county town Hofheim am Taunus . It was put into operation on October 15, 1877 and is now served by the Rhein-Main S-Bahn , regional trains of Deutsche Bahn AG (DB) and individual regional trains of HLB. It also has a bus station , a taxi rank and a park + ride car park.
location
The train station is located about 500 meters from the city center on Hattersheimer Straße . It is located on the Main-Lahn-Bahn , which connects the Limburg (Lahn) regional train station with the Frankfurt (Main) central train station .
Reception building
The station building was built in 1906 and has three floors. It is built in the homeland security style , in a factual, baroque style. It is a plastered building with a distinctive raised structure made of Taunus quartzite in the base area and on the walls . It is classified as a cultural monument according to the Hessian Monument Protection Act.

Hofheim is in the tariff area of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV). The RMV headquarters are located near the train station. The station is served by trains of the S-Bahn Rhein-Main , DB Regio AG and HLB .
Rail transport
The S-Bahn line S2 of the S-Bahn Rhein-Main stops at Hofheimer Bahnhof . This runs at a basic cycle of 30 minutes, which is compressed to a 15-minute cycle during peak traffic times. There is a direct S-Bahn connection to Niedernhausen via Eppstein or to Dietzenbach via Frankfurt am Main and Offenbach am Main . In addition, the regional trains of line RE 20 and RB 22 stop on the way from Limburg via Bad Camberg , Idstein and Niedernhausen to Frankfurt Hbf at Hofheimer Bahnhof. This means that seven trips per hour in each direction between Hofheim and Frankfurt are possible during rush hour. Up to 169 trains stop each day.

Bus transport
There is a large bus station at the train station . From there there are bus connections to the Hofheim districts and the neighboring communities. Call collective taxes also operate . There is also a direct bus connection to Wiesbaden every half hour during the day . Thanks to the additional express bus connection from Bad Homburg via Hofheim, there are three trips per hour in each direction between Wiesbaden city center and Hofheim train station on weekdays.
