The Naumburg train station (Bz Kassel) is the train station of the north Hessian town of Naumburg in the Kassel district . The terminus is the setting of the regular passenger traffic it is used (since 1972) of a heritage railway.
history
The Naumburg station (Bz Kassel) was opened on March 31, 1904 with the section Schauenburg - Elgershausen - Naumburg as the terminus of the Kassel - Naumburg railway line . The builder of the route and the stations was the Kassel-Naumburg Railway (KNE).
Scheduled passenger traffic was discontinued on September 4, 1977, and goods traffic west of Baunatal - Altenbauna on May 31, 1991.
Since 1972 a museum railway has been running from Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe to Naumburg on certain weekends of the year, run by the Hessencourrier association . V. operates. The Hessencourrier's steam trains begin and end in Naumburg.
The station building is now a listed building .
Todays use
The former station building of the station now houses the Railway Museum Naumburg e. V. , in which, among other things, exhibits from the old days of the Kleinbahn can be found.
