The three-track Neufahrn (b Freising) station is located in the municipality of the same name and is served by the Munich S-Bahn .
The station is on the Munich-Regensburg railway line and is served by the S1. The connecting line to the airport , which was opened in 1998, branches off to the north of the station to relieve the S8. Therefore, the S1 is separated or combined here. Usually the rear part of the train goes to the airport and the front to Freising. The station has an outside platform on platform 1 and a central platform on platform 2 and 3. On platform 1, the trains to Freising / airport are separated. On track 3 (partly also on track 2) the trains to the Ostbahnhof will be combined. The outer platform is designed as a house platform, which can be reached at both ends via ramps from Bahnhofstraße or a footpath. The central platform can be reached through underpasses at both ends, whereby the underpass at the western end has a ramp to the station square and the underpass on Massenhauser Straße has an elevator to the platform. There is also a P&R car park on Bahnhofstrasse. A flyover structure was built north of the train station for the connection to the airport. The previously unused house platform was also rebuilt and new points designed for 100 km / h were installed. The house platform is 210 meters long and 96 cm high. The platform on tracks 2 and 3 is also 210 meters long, but only 76 cm high.
