The Oberschleißheim train station is located on the Munich – Regensburg railway line, about 20 kilometers from Munich Central Station in Oberschleißheim .

As part of the construction of the line to Landshut and on to Regensburg , Oberschleißheim received a train station on November 3, 1858. This was called Schleissheim and was located directly west of the Schleissheim Castle ( ). In addition to the passenger handling systems, there were also freight tracks and some company connections. In 1916 an industrial track was built from the Schleißheim train station to an ammunition factory in Garching- Hochbrück , from which a track branched off to the Schleißheim airfield .

With the construction of the Munich S-Bahn , the station was closed to passenger traffic on May 27, 1972 and replaced by the new Oberschleißheim station. This is one kilometer further in the direction of Freising. The handling of freight wagons was finally stopped on December 8, 1993. The gradual dismantling of the sidings had already started in the mid-1980s. The station building and the goods shed are still preserved and can be seen from the route. The former toilet block was demolished in spring 2016. Some tracks that are no longer used and overgrown by grass can also be seen west of the route. Today, there are at the site of the station only a switch connection between the two sorting tracks, which from Bahnhof München-Feldmoching from far found is.

The new Oberschleißheim station was opened on May 28, 1972 when the Munich S-Bahn began operating. The S-Bahn station is in the northern part of the village and has three platform tracks. The S 1 trains of the Munich S-Bahn in the direction of the city center stop on platform 1. S-Bahn trains that end / begin here or are overtaken stop on platform 2. The single-track parking facility north of the train station can also be reached from here. The S 1 trains in the direction of Freising / Airport run on platform 3 .
