List of train stations in France |
The Rennes railway station is the largest station of the SNCF in the French city of Rennes . The station is used by around 25,000 passengers every day. It has eight tracks on four platforms. The station was opened in 1857 as part of the Paris – Brest railway line and was at that time relatively far away from today's city center, but the city has expanded significantly to this day, making it now in the center of Rennes.
The station has a connection to the TGV network to Paris, whereby the travel time through the LGV Bretagne-Pays de la Loire has been reduced to one and a half hours since 2017. There are regional connections to the nearby Breton cities such as B. Brest , Lannion , Nantes , Quimper and Saint-Malo . There are TGV connections to Lyon , Montpellier , Marseille , Lille , Aix-en-Provence and Strasbourg .
You can change at the train station to the city bus network and to the Rennes subway .
