Baldwin breaks

Balduin Bricht (born July 9, 1852 in Vittencz , Austrian Empire , today Chtelnica, Slovakia , † March 27, 1937 in Vienna ) was an Austrian journalist and music critic .

Life

Baldwin Breaks, a native of Vittencz, a place that until 1918 within the county Neutra in the Kingdom of Hungary was acquired the matriculation examination at the high school in Sopron . Balduin Bricht, who also received his first musical training there and later occasionally appeared as a singer , gained his first journalistic experience as a theater advisor for the " Ödenburger Nachrichten" .

In 1873 Balduin Bricht moved to Vienna, where he attended lectures at the university and also continued his music and singing studies. Immediately afterwards, Bricht was appointed national editor and music consultant for the Wiener Allgemeine Zeitung , and in 1899 he joined the editorial association of the Österreichische Volkszeitung as an editorial writer and music consultant . In addition, Balduin Bricht founded the Association of Vienna Music Referees, which he took over as director. He also held the post of President of the Pension Funds of the Concordia Press Club .

Balduin Bricht, father of the pianist , composer and music teacher Walter Bricht (1904–1970), died in Vienna in the spring of 1937 at the age of 84.
