Architecture and history
The two-storey half - timbered house was built around 1780 on a high ashlar plinth and possibly formed a single building with the neighboring house at Ballstrasse 28. The house is registered in the Quedlinburg monument register as an arable citizen's house. The representative building has both baroque and early classicist architectural forms. The mansard roof of the house and the ornamental walls of the compartments refer to the Baroque era . The double gabled house is an element of classicism.
The house was redesigned in the 19th century. During this time the building was plastered. The design of the windows also goes back to this time.
In the house there is a gate passage which houses a staircase in the Baroque style. The elaborately designed balustrade is remarkable .
On the north side of the courtyard there is an 18th century wing, also built in half-timbered construction. The second floor was built in the 19th century, the lower floor was renewed.
