Baptist Reinmann

Baptist Reinmann (born October 31, 1903 in Herzogenaurach ; † March 2, 1980 ) was a German football player who won the German championship with 1. FC Nürnberg in 1927 .

Reinmann began at 1. FC Herzogenaurach playing football and became the season 1925/26 from 1. FC Nuremberg as a right winger committed. From 1926 to 1933 he played for these point games in the championships organized by the South German Football Association , his first season in the Bavarian District League , henceforth in the Northern Bavaria group . His last two seasons he played in Gauliga Bayern , in one of initially 16, later increased to 23 Gauligen at the time of National Socialism as a uniform top division in the German Empire . The premier season he concluded with the team as Gaumeister; previously he won six regional championship titles and because of these successes he played for the team during his club membership twelve final rounds of the German championship, which he won once on June 12, 1927 in Berlin . After 281 competitive games in ten years for the “club” a persistent Achilles tendon injury forced him to end his career.

National team

Reinmann played four international matches for the senior national team , for which he made his debut on October 23, 1927 in Hamburg in a 6-2 victory over the national team of Norway . After playing two more games as a national player on November 20, 1927 and September 16, 1928 , he made his last appearance for the DFB -Elf on February 10, 1929 in Mannheim in a 7-1 victory over the Swiss national team .

He was also part of the squad for the Olympic football tournament held in Amsterdam from May 27 to June 13, 1928 ; he was not used in the two games against Switzerland and Uruguay.

Reinmann was able to run the 100 m in 11.1 seconds and was still able to hit precise flanks. The often repeated special trick of the later finance secretary: he fooled into stopping or withdrawing the ball at full speed. While the opponent was still reacting, he was up and away. However, he was occasionally too timid and lacking self-confidence and couldn't get past Ernst Albrecht in the national team .

At the beginning of the 2006/07 season, 1. FC Nürnberg was the first Bundesliga club to name 35 stadium blocks of its stadium after famous and well-deserved players; block 39 was named after Baptist Reinmann.
