Barbara Sotelsek (born March 14, 1974 in Bregenz , Vorarlberg ) is an Austrian actress .

life and career

After training as a tailor, Sotelsek worked as a costume designer for various theater productions. She began her private acting training in 1994 with Alexander Kubelka, Klaus Ofzarek, Willy Höller and A. Greenwood. Theater productions in Zurich and Vienna followed . In 2000 she became a member of the theater in der Josefstadt in Vienna.

Sotelsek had her first television role in 2000 in the series Kommissar Rex . Together with her daughter, she moved from Vienna to Berlin in 2002 , where she stood in front of the camera from 2002 to 2004 for her role as Alexandra "Sascha" Mehring in the series Hinter Gittern - Der Frauenknast . She then dubbed audio books and played the role of Nursa in the movie Zara (2007) . She also appeared in short films such as Brandstifter and Halber Mensch . In summer 2009 she played in an episode of the Inga Lindström production on ZDF . In the same year she played in the theater play The attack in Vienna . In 2010 she was there in the play A Child of Our Time . From 2010 to 2011 she was featured in the series Hand on Heart . In September 2011 she made a guest appearance on several episodes in the series Anna and Love . From January 2015 to January 2016, she was in the daily soap Alles was geht as Sonja Brück. She is in a relationship with her fellow actor Carsten Clemens .
