The American Peter Kleist travels to Austria to take a break from studying at college and at the same time to explore his family roots. At the airport, Kleist is met by his uncle Dr. Karl Hummel picked up. He learns that his great-grandfather Baron Otto von Kleist was a sadist who murdered hundreds of his villagers and was nicknamed Baron Blood . One day he burned a witch who put the curse on him to keep waking up from the dead so that she could take revenge on him. Peter Kleist has Karl Hummel drive him to the family's castle, which is used as a hotel. There Peter met Eva Arnold. Together with her he explores the castle at midnight and is drawn into the ghost.
