Barry Bermange
Barry Bermange (born November 7, 1933 in London ) is a British theater , television and radio play author .
Life
Barry Bermange studied at the Slade Arts School Essex and then worked as an assistant director and actor. In the mid-1960s he began his radio work in the BBC Radiophonic Workshop with a series of groundbreaking experiments.
Bermange has received numerous art prizes. His piece The Soldiers (Hörwerk 9) was voted radio play of the month in May 1985 . In the same year the radio of the GDR produced monodrama directed by Helmut Hellstorff .
In 1998 Barry Bermange received the Prix Ars Acustica for Mirage Kino . He was also awarded the Karl Sczuka Prize three times .
