Bartosz Łosiak (born May 14, 1992 in Jastrzębie-Zdrój ) is a Polish beach volleyball player . From 2009 to 2013 he was three times world champion and four times European champion in different age groups.

Career

In 2009 Łosiak played his first FIVB World Tour tournament with Piotr Kantor at the Mysłowice Open . In Espinho , Kantor / Łosiak won the U18 European Championship. In the same year they reached ninth place at the U19 World Cup in Alanya . In 2010 they also won the U20 European Championship in Catania . A little later they won their next title at the U19 World Cup in Porto . They then took part in a Grand Slam for the first time in Stare Jabłonki . Then Kantor / Łosiak won the U20 European Championship in Tel Aviv-Jaffa . At the U21 World Cup in Halifax they only lost in the final. In 2012 they came third at the Continental Cup in Alanya. They finished the U23 European Championship in Assen in second place. Then Kantor / Łosiak reached the top ten of a World Tour tournament for the first time in ninth place in the Grand Slam of Stare Jabłonki. In Halifax they became U21 world champions. In 2013 they won their sixth title as a junior player at the U23 World Cup in Mysłowice. They finished the Grand Slam in The Hague in ninth place. At the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki they reached the knockout phase as group winners, but were then eliminated in the first duel against the Canadians Saxton / Schalk . After the World Cup, they were ninth each in the Grand Slams in Gstaad and Berlin . At the U22 European Championship in Varna they won their next European title. At the end of the year they finished fifth at the Grand Slam in São Paulo .

Kantor / Łosiak have been among the world's best in beach volleyball since 2014. The Poles achieved numerous top ten results on the FIVB World Tour. Outstanding were a third place in 2014 at the Grand Slam in São Paulo , a second place in 2015 at the Major in Stavanger , 2016 the victory at the Grand Slam in Rio de Janeiro and a third place at the Grand Slam in Moscow as well as a second place in 2017 at the 5- Star tournament in Gstaad . Added to this is participation in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and fifth place at the Beach Volleyball World Championship 2017 in Vienna .
