The BLV - Bavarian camp supply GmbH & Co. KG was a wholesale company based in Munich . It was founded shortly after the Second World War and was sold to Metro AG in 1990 . On April 27, 2011 the company was deleted from the commercial register.

history

The history of Bayerische Lagerversorgung GmbH goes back to 1947. After the Second World War, the Coloniale (central office of the Bavarian Assortment Wholesale eGmbH) was founded in Munich. It emerged from the purchasing office of Großhandels GmbH Nürnberg , which was founded in 1928. As early as 1964, most of the Bavarian wholesalers were members of the association. In the same year the subsidiary BLV - Bayerische Lagerversorgung GmbH & Co. KG was brought into being. Under her hypermarkets, hardware stores, furniture stores and gas stations were operated. In 1964 a turnover of over DM 145 million was achieved. There were branches in Bamberg , Bayreuth , Kempten , Passau , Regensburg , Amberg , Aschaffenburg , Augsburg , Grafenwoehr , Nuremberg, Offingen , Traunstein , Vilseck and Würzburg .

In 1988 it became known that the predecessor of METRO AG, Asko Deutsche Kaufhaus AG, intends to buy all companies owned by medium-sized retailers in order to strengthen their market shares in the individual regions. In addition to the Hurler Group, Munich and massa AG , they wanted to buy the BLV - Bayerische Lagerversorgung The Bundeskartellamt only approved the purchase under one condition. Asko Deutsche Kaufhaus AG had to refrain from buying a wholesale market in Munich. Asko Deutsche Kaufhaus AG agreed to the conditions and bought the company in 1990. The BLV was incorporated into the subsidiary MHB Handels AG founded by Asko Deutsche Kaufhaus AG and its partner Deutsche SB-Kauf AG. The company's headquarters were relocated to Düsseldorf . 1991 were then almost all BLV supermarkets in supermarkets master reflagging, the BLV DIY gradually into practitioners reflagging -Baumärkten. In 1996 it became known that Asko Deutsche Kaufhaus AG, Deutsche SB-Kauf AG and Kaufhof Holding AG wanted to merge to form a group, METRO AG.
