Beaumat is a former French commune with 78 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Lot department in the Occitanie region . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Gourdon and the canton of Causse et Vallées .

With effect from January 1, 2016, Beaumat was merged with the municipalities of Fontanes-du-Causse , Labastide-Murat , Saint-Sauveur-la-Vallée and Vaillac to form the Commune nouvelle Cœur de Causse and has been a commune déléguée there ever since .
